UK NO WIN NO FEE CRIMINAL INJURY CLAIMS

The Authority's purpose is to pay damages to the innocent victims of violent crime in Great Britain by providing compensation for mental trauma, physical injury and consequent financial loss. Initial applications for compensation are sometimes refused or an inadequate award is made either of which may lead the applicant to consider an appeal. Appeals are made to the CICA Appeals Panel which is independent of the CICA and reviews the CICA’s decisions. An award by the Appeals Panel is binding on the CICA.
