NATIONWIDE VICTIM SUPPORT CHARITY UK
Victim Support is a charity operating throughout the United Kingdom that helps both the victims and witnesses of crimes. Their services are completely free to everyone, whether a crime has been reported or not, and regardless of when or where the crime happened. There are separate offices for residents of England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. There is an independant organisation operating in the Republic of Ireland.

That makes our claims completely risk free. We provide committed representation to ensure that you get fair and equitable compensation for your injuries. Call the helpline or complete the contact form now if you would like free advice with no obligation. Our no obligation advice is just that. If you decide not to take things further, you are under no obligation to do so and you will not be charged for the advice provided. There are three main ways in which compensation can be claimed for injuries caused by violent crime :-
CRIMINAL INJURIES COMPENSATION AUTHORITY
Have you suffered a physical or mental trauma as a result of a violent crime? Has the trauma suffered caused you to see a doctor at least twice? Did it take you more than 6 weeks to fully recover? If you answered yes to these three questions, you can apply for compensation under the government-funded CICA tariff scheme which allows you to make a claim whether the offender has been caught and prosecuted or not.
CRIMINAL COURT COMPENSATION
A request for compensation for the victim of a crime can be made in the criminal court by The Crown Prosecution Service. There are limitations to the amount of compensation that can be ordered.
CIVIL COURT COMPENSATION
The civil courts are another option for obtaining compensation for injuries and other damages suffered from a crime. The County Courts often involves the use of a solicitor however the small claims court has less formal procedures and offers the ability to proceed with requests for compensation without the use of a lawyer.
